Owners of the HTC Desire HD and the Incredible S will be pleased to know that HTC have just announced their intentions to start issuing the latest Android Gingerbread update OTA.
Android 2.3 will bring a number of new enhancements to the aforementioned devices, primarily though these improvements will be aimed towards responsiveness and stability. Don’t expect the new Sense UI to come with your update to Gingerbread, as you may remember that HTC announced that version 3.0 will only work with their newly announced devices, such as the Sensation.
If you want to get your hands on the new update, you can head on over to the HTC support site where they give details on how to get your Desire HD or Incredible S to manually search for the latest update. Alternatively, all users should soon start to get a notification appear on their devices informing them of the update.
