Rumours have emerged that the newest member of the Nexus family is due to be introduced in October. The news came after an “anonymous tipster” told MoDaCo’s co-founder Paul O’Brien that they suspect the HTC Nexus 9 will make its debut on 16th October this year.

Upon release the Nexus 9 has been anticipated that the tablet could potentially come with the new Android “L” either that or it will get it very soon after; especially as Google Nexus devices are the first to debut the latest OS.
The so called Nexus 9 will include an 8.9in display with a 2048 x 1440 resolution powered by an NVidia Logan Tegra K1 64-bit processor and include 2GB of RAM. It is also said to feature an 8 megapixel rear camera. There isn’t an SD card, similarly to previous Nexus devices, so it offers two storage options: 16GB or 32GB.

Although no prices are set in stone as yet, the HTC Nexus 9 tablet is expected to be cheaper than £399 here in the UK. The tablet is expected to be unveiled alongside the public launch Google’s Android L in the latter part of October.
