With the Mobile World Congress just around the corner, it was inevitable that we would start to see some pictures of upcoming handsets due to be announced.
Now, not long after we seen some leaked photos of the HTC One M9, the successor to the current popular One M8; we have now seen some images along with some images of a new device called the HTC One M9 Plus.
It’s thought that the HTC One M9 will feature a 5 inch Quad HD display, but the HTC One M9 Plus is said to feature a slightly larger 5.5 inch display and have a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440.
According to the leaked information, internally there is a lot of similarities been the One M9 and One M9 Plus; it’s said that both will feature the Snapdragon 810 eight core processor and will also have 3GB of RAM too. Interestingly, the leaked information suggests that the One M9 Plus will also feature a fingerprint scanner, something not mentioned in the leaked info about the standard One M9 (but it’s quite possible that it will have).
There are a couple of other grey areas, another being the camera used; accordingly to the One M9 leaked info, it suggested that a 20.7 MP camera will be used, however with the Plus it’s thought to feature dual camera, as seen on current HTC models.
Finally, as you’d probably expect the HTC One M9 Plus will come with Android Lollipop 5.0 as standard.
No doubt HTC will be hoping for similar success with these new handsets when they go on sale, the HTC One M8 has proven to be extremely popular and has been critical to the company’s profitability over the last year.
What are your thoughts on the leaked images? Do you think HTC can carry on their successful run with both the One M9 and One M9 Plus?
