U.S mobile network Verizon has spilled the beans on a new HTC smartphone, the HTC Rhyme.
We heard just last week that HTC had a new mid-range smartphone planned called the HTC Rhyme. This phone was originally known as the HTC Bliss, and we knew it was designed to suit the ladies.
Verizon have secured an exclusive deal with HTC which allows them to offer the Rhyme in a suitably girly “plum” colour, with a whole host of matching accessories. The Rhyme comes with a ‘Charm’, which is attached to the phone and also finished in plum, which illuminates when you receive a message or notification.
With the bundle you’ll also get a wireless Bluetooth headset finished in metallic plum, a sports armband, a set of in-ear headphones with inline volume and playback controls (again, plum coloured) and a desktop docking station for charging. All in all it looks like a pretty sweet package that will likely be attractive to teens and ladies alike.
Phone-wise, the HTC Rhyme is around about the same size as the popular HTC Wildfire. It features a 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA mobile internet connectivity.
The Rhyme runs Android Gingerbread (2.3) software along with the latest HTC Sense 3.5 user interface which includes extra software such as the HTC Watch movie rentals app.
Despite having a musical-themed name like the HTC Bass (Runnymede), this phone won’t feature Beats Audio software or headphones.
Launching with Verizon in the U.S on September 29th, the HTC Rhyme is expected to be free on most 24 month contracts.
