Huawei announces new Android Gingerbread Vision smartphone

Chinese telecommunications manufacturer Huawei – who are famous for creating White Label products for the technology industry – have announced a brand new Android smartphone called the Huawei Vision.

The Huawei Vision is an Android Gingerbread 2.3 handset that boasts a 3D user interface, but don’t be fooled as the Vision is not a 3D smartphone akin to the HTC EVO 3D and the LG Optimus 3D, it merely sports a 3D effect interface.

The handset will come with a speedy Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor and will also sport a 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording capability and a LED flash. Internally the Huawei Vision will house Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and all the other connectivity you would expect from a modern day smartphone.

Design-wise the handset will weigh in at 121g and is 9.9mm thick at its thinnest point and is crafted out of an aluminium alloy unibody which will be available in rose gold, silver or charcoal colour variants.

In a statement about the handset’s release Victor Xu, Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Devices says: “We are very excited to present Huawei Vision, the smartphone which strikes the perfect balance between technology and style,”

“The unique 3D user interface heralds a new era in Huawei’s leadership, as we continue to create devices that enhance the user experience through stylish design and smart functionality.”

Currently there are no confirmed prices for the handset but the Android phones will be released to ‘selected markets’ next month, which we hope will include the UK.
