iHome have just unveiled their latest product, the IDM 11 rechargeable portable Bluetooth speaker, ideal for any compatible Bluetooth device you may have. So, if you’ve been thinking about getting a portable speaker for when you’re out and about and want something a bit more powerful that your smartphone’s internal speaker, the IDM 11 might be just what you’re after.
It’s design looks very similar to the Boxee Box, a square that sits on one flat corner. The IDM 11 would be ideal for listening to music on the go, or perhaps when you’re watching a film.
As well as being able to stream audio to the IDM 11, you’ll also be able to use it for hands-free calling. It also has built-in echo cancellation as well as controls for answering and ending a call. The speaker is Bluetooth version 2.1 +EDR, has automatic pairing on support devices and features an internal lithium-ion battery which should give up to 10 hours of music playback per charge.
The only down side to the IDM 11 which may put off potential users is that the speaker is mono, so as long as you don’t mind listening to your music in mono instead of stereo, you’ll be fine.
