iOS 5 Beta 2 for iPhone lands on developers’ desks

  • by
The developer build of iOS 5 is now with developers, gifting them time to play with the new OS and adapt their apps to it if necessary. The Beta version of the OS arrived over night, and has already been laid bare by sources at AppleInsider.

Any new tricks? Well, aside from the many features demoed at WWDC, devs have noticed a few tweaks. One such change is the way that notifications appear. According to AppleInsider, each notification now hovers in the middle for a few seconds before tiling up to the tip of the screen as was previously shown.

There’s also a feature in iMessage that lets the keyboard automatically scroll out of the way when you’re scanning through previous messages.

iO5 will bring a scrollable notification menu (like that seen in Android handsets), iCloud storage, wireless syncing and the free chat client iMessage. Are you looking forward to the update? Or does Android top iOS? Let us know on the Gadget Helpline Twitter feed.
