iPad Mini 3 Could Launch Soon

Apple’s triumphant launch of the Apple Watch and iPhone 6 could be just the beginning with regards to Apple releases this year. The story goes that another edition of the iPad could also see a release before the year is out.

The rumored iPad Mini 3 could be coming soon, according to the word from industry analysts over at KGI Securities. A member of the industry analysis company Ming-chi Kuo said recently “We previously thought Apple would not release a new version of the iPad Mini this year, but we now think Apple will launch an upgraded version with the same form factor.”

This information apparently comes straight from the mouths of certain insiders on Apple’s end of things, although no confirmation or parallel information has come out. This could be just another rumor, as Apple has been adamant that the current version of the iPad Mini should be still going until 2015.

Kuo also claimed that “We think the upgraded iPad Air will be launched earlier in 2014 than the iPad Air was in 2013.”

Indications of this upgrade are however thin on the ground, as the iPad Mini 2 and the iPad Air have both been positively recieved by critics and consumers following their releases, so it’s not likely Apple is going to need to pack in any changes into a new model.

However, the products do both have a significant disadvantage to the iPhone 6, whose technologies have not yet been deployed on Apple’s tablet range, a fact which might lead to these rumors being correct.

The iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 have already been leaked this year, as far back as June, with apparent new features including the security enhancing Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the home button.

Other features yet to be adopted in Apple’s tablet range apart from Touch ID is the A8 processors and M8 coprocessor, plus iOS 8. It’s not clear if these systems

iOS 8 and the new A8 processor are some of the most likely things to be adopted on the new generation of Apple tablets, so it does make sense that these new technologies might be seen on a new tablet from Apple in the coming weeks.
