After last weeks Qualcomm and LG announcement LG has finally bitten the bullet and announced that it will be releasing its latest Android Smartphone to the world and this time it’s a super high specced LG Optimus G.

The LG Optimus G will be another quad-core handset form LG and it will also be the first 4G smartphone to feature Qualcomm’s latest and fastest Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core APQ8064 processor chip.

The Optimus G will look set to replace the current LG flagship Android smartphone the LG Optimus 4X HD just six months after the handset was released to the world at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The LG Optimus G is looking set to be a high end smartphone ready to take on the Samsung Galaxy SIII with its 4.7-inch True HD IPS+ display alongside, 1.5GHz quad-core chip, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, front-facing 1.3MP camera, NFC connectivity and a whopping 32GB of internal storage.

Currently the LG Android smartphone will come shipped with the older version of Android in the form of 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but we would expect an update to the latest version of the Android OS in Jelly Bean in the coming months after its release.

Currently the LG Optimus Optimus G is set for release in Asia, with it arriving in Japan first and the Korea in September.
