LG Optimus L9 Android Smartphone announced

LG has announced the Latest Optimus Smartphone in its L series of handsets, the LG Optimus L9, which was first spied at the MWC event at the start of the year but is now set to be hitting stores.

The LG Optimus L9 is a Android sporting smartphone which will be running off the Ice Cream sandwich 4.0 version of the OS, but with a possibility of the latest Android Jelly Bean OS coming to the phone soon.

Yesterday LG also announced its new flagship Android Optimus handset in the form of the LG Optimus G which has a whopping quad-core Snapdragon S4 Processor chip.

The L9 is a slightly more simple affair with it having a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage plus a the 4.7-inch display with a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 2,150 mAh battery.

The handset is also a lot slimmer that its Optimus G cousin with it measuring with a 9.1mm thick chassis. The handset also has a slick design with LG stating:

“Inheriting LG’s premium L-Style design philosophy, the Optimus L9 has a 9.1mm thin body with a slimming metallic streak and modern square style that offers a comfortable grip from its slim and stylish design”

One of the new Features that LG are keen to advertise on the L9 is the QTranslator function that will help you translate 44 foreign languages to 64 user languages just by using the camera on the phone to capture the text and translate it to your desired language.

There is no official LG Optimus L9 release date nor pricing released by LG yet.
