Lovefilm has secured a new deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution service that will mean that customers of the LoveFilm streaming service will get a host of new content from the studios as part of their subscriptions.
Lovefilm, who is owned by Amazon, is primarily known for its movie streaming and DVD rental services, but has over the past year been expanding its arsenal of TV content to compete with rivals Netflix in the current online streaming war.
Netflix is well known for offering more TV content than Lovefilm, so the deal with Warner Bros. is likely to be a very welcome one for existing customers. Warner Bros. TV division is responsible for TV series such as The West Wing, One Tree Hill, Nip Tuck and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, all of which will now be appearing for Lovefilm customers.
Lovefilm already has deals with distributors such as Miramax, Twentieth Century Fox, NBC Universal, Marvel, Sony Pictures, Disney, ABC, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, STUDIOCANAL and eOne and the WB TV deal is now in place to compliment the movies deal the companies made in 2012.

Jeffery R. Schlesinger, president of Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, added: “This deal once again indicates that the programming we produce has a long life after their primary exposure on network television. The addition of these long running, serialised, addictive series to the Lovefilm service will provide its subscribers with many hours of compelling viewing.
The new TV programs will be available to Lovefilm customers as of now.
