Google has updated its Play Store with some new Nexus goodies and availability, with the Nexus 4 now in stock and shipping within a record time of 3-5 working days.
The elusive phone has proved tricky to get SIM-free from the Google Play Store, with shipping times often being in the region of ‘weeks’ rather than ‘days’ – and that was good, after the phone was out of stock for weeks after its initial launch.
In addition to the reduced shipping times Google has also introduced a new accessory to the Play Store – the official Nexus 7 dock can now be picked up for £24.99.
The simple dock accommodates the Nexus 7 tablet in landscape mode, connecting the three magnetic dots on the right edge of the tablet in order to charge from a mains socket. It also offers a simple 3.5mm audio out jack for connecting to a set of speakers, allowing instant audio output when the tablet is docked.
Thankfully the dock isn’t as ludicrously priced as we were first hearing a couple of months ago when the accessory first surfaced online. With Asus behind the manufacturing you can bet that it’s well made and sturdy, too.
