Nokia are having a big day today with the announcement of two new Windows Phone 7.5-sporting handsets, the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710, along with a new range of Symbian powered budget handsets entitled the Nokia Asha range.
Not happy with just announcing its new line-up of handsets, the Finnish company has also announced a new found partnership with Monster headphones and have announced a range of wireless Nokia Purity Stereo Headsets which have been developed between the two companies to work with the new Nokia handsets.
The headsets are available in two forms; an in-ear version and an over-ear headset version, both with the Nokia Purity branding and boasting HD quality audio.
The HD headset weighs 180g and comes in the same black, white, cyan or fuchsia colour variations as the Nokia Lumia 710 smartphone, and are designed to work with the Lumia handsets, but as they have the standard 3.5mm jack, the headsets will work with all compatible audio devices.
The in-ear phones come in the same four colour variants and with variable sized buds for your ears ranging in size. The in-ear headphones also weigh in pretty light at just 18g. An inline volume and play/pause controller sits between the earbuds and the 3.5mm jack, which will give you easy-access music and call controls.
Currently there is no word on pricing or availability for either yet, but we can assume to see some of the headphones when the Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 Windows phone 7.5 handsets hit the shops.
HTC has recently announced its own partnership with Monster in the form of the Beats Audio range of headsets, which come with certification from the Dr of Beats himself, Dr. Dre.
