Nokia reveals 6 European countries to receive Windows Phone

Nokia has revealed the lucky European nations who will first welcome its Windows Phone 7 handsets when the roll out begins towards the end of this year.

Nokia Europe were in attendance for the Mobile Telecompaper event to invite host country Germany to run with the Nokia handset with Microsoft’s mobile operating system – along with France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and before you gnaw your arm off – Yes, the United Kingdom was amongst those countries named to get the gadgets on release.

Nokia’s own operating system Symbian has not fared so well so a special friendship with Microsoft has positioned the mobile tech company in the lucrative position of being the first to supply the European community with the handsets behind Windows Phone 7.

It’s great for the UK to be acknowledged considering only 6 countries were chosen. We look forward to late 2011 when Nokia’s Windows Phones reach our shore.
