Panasonic has just unveiled its latest addition to its super-zoom camera range with the FZ47 (also known as the FZ48 in Europe).
The FZ47 features a 12.1MP sensor along with a pretty impressive 24x zoom, that’s a 25 – 600mm range (in 35mm equivalent).
The stabilised lens used has an aperture range of F/2.8 to F/5.2 when zooming. You’ll also be able to use the FZ47 to record 1080p video with the choice of formats including MP4 and also AVCHD, and on the back of the camera you’ll see an impressive 3” LCD of 460K dots.
One interesting feature on the FZ47 is the ability to capture 3D images. So, you might be thinking how that is possible with one lens? Well, it’s cleverly done using software; simply follow the instructions to take two pictures a slight distance apart to get the 3D results you’re after.
If this sounds like the digital camera for you, the FZ47 is expected to go on sale in August this year with a suggested retail price of $400 (around £245).
