PlayStation Network (PSN) Down for Maintenance on May 11th

Early warning to PlayStation folks, Sony plans to pull the plug on the PSN between Monday 11th May and Tuesday 12th May for routine maintenance.

It’s said that the down time should last around ten hours and will affect a number of key features including account management, PlayStation Store and PlayStation Video on PS4, PS3 and PS Vita which gamers will probably find they have limited or no access to during the maintenance.

Gamers will still be able to use online play during the service shutdown if they sign into their account before the maintenance begins. But bear in mind that if you sign out or get disconnected you may have to endure a lengthy wait time before it becomes available again. Perhaps go outside and enjoy some spring time.

PSN maintenance will take place around the globe at these times:

Starting 2:30AM GMT (12/5) – Ending 12:00PM GMT (12/5)
Starting 7:30PM PDT (11/5) – Ending 5:00AM PDT (12/5)
Starting 10:30PM EDT (11/5) -Ending 8:00AM EDT (12/5)
Starting 12:00PM AEST (11/5) – Ending 10:00AM AEST (12/5)
