A website launched by Apple called “Remembering Steve” has gone live today in memory of Co-Founder, former CEO and leader of the ‘digital generation’ – Steve Jobs, who passed away on October 5th after a bold battle which pancreatic cancer.
The “Remember Steve” site has been receiving one message every twelve seconds since its launch just this morning and soon reached a staggering one million of the heartfelt tributes which have been filling the site since the site went live.
Apple reports of the outpouring of comments “One thing they all have in common – from personal friends to colleagues to owners of Apple products – is how they’ve been touched by his passion and creativity”.
Apple has set aside this day as a day of respect for Steve Jobs and the website follows tributes layed out in front of Apple Stores the world over, from traditional flowers to an extravagant display of Jobs’ face created from post-it notes. It’s clear to see that this was an influential and inspiring man, who will be missed by many.
