Samsung Galaxy S II Canadian variant “Hercules” appears online

The popular Samsung Galaxy S II is about to get a heroic redesign for its Canadian market – and that’s no myth.

Pictures have surfaced from various online sources of a very stylish looking variant of the Galaxy S II codenamed SGH-T989 and officially named “Hercules”. It looks like the GSII we know and love but it’s got a legendary facelift including brushed metallic and rounded finish with a larger 4.5” inch screen and is to be released through T-Mobile over in Canuckland this September.

From reports surrounding the photos’ release, we’re informed that this champion of smartphones from Samsung will come packing Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core processor, supported by 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with streaming movie service Netflix coming pre-installed.
