Samsung Galaxy S II delayed but will be upgraded to 1.2Ghz

I’m afraid I have some bad news – and also some good news. If you have been patiently waiting for the new Samsung Galaxy S II release, which was supposed to be released late April, unfortunately the new smartphone from Samsung will be delayed until the summer.

The announcement was first discovered on Samsung’s Estonian Facebook page and now the folks over at GSMArena have it on good authority from someone within Samsung that the info is true and the Android powered device will now be available in June.

It’s not all bad news though, as the insider has also confirmed that although the Galaxy S II has been delayed, it will have its CPU upgraded from the original 1Ghz to 1.2Ghz

Samsung Mobile India have also now tweeted the following: “Due to delay in the global launch of SGS2 the device won’t be launched before June. And, it’s not just India but it’s delayed all over”

What are your thoughts on this delay? Have you been waiting for the new Galaxy S II? Perhaps you’re not that bothered waiting considering the CPU is going to be upgraded. Remember to leave us your thoughts in the comments section below, or tweet us @Gadget_Helpline.
