New shots have been unearthed of the heroic Hercules – a Samsung Galaxy S II variant set to conquer Canada first of all, before hopefully taking its crusade overseas.
Samsung’s Hercules looks very much like the GS2 we know and love but this model has seriously been hitting the gym – Arnold style! Including brushed metallic and rounded finish with a larger 4.5” inch AMOLED screen, running with an 800 x 400 resolution.
From reports surrounding the photos’ release, we’re informed that this champion of smartphones from Samsung will come packing Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a Qualcomm 1.2GHz dual-core processor, supported by 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with streaming movie service Netflix coming pre-installed.
A speed test reveals that despite its size, Hercules is also a swift mover. Armed with the newest 4G tech, and reaching quadrant scores of 3359 Sammy’s hero is set to slay the competition and become legend.
The model running in the photos appears to be on the Canadian TELUS network but from the latest publicity on offer from T-Mobile, Canucks can expect the heavyweight handset to drop on October 26th.
Vodafone, however, was the first network over here to get the ancestor, Galaxy S II, so we’ll be keeping our eyes on the network first and foremost for any signs of Hercules in the United Kingdom.
Samsung’s 4G, dual-core Hercules is set to go head-to-head with HTC’s 4G, dual-core offering the Amaze 4G. Read the Gadget Helpline’s latest on the 1.5GHz CPU handset – formerly known as Ruby – here.
