I’m hoping you’re not getting bored of all the Galaxy S3 talk of late. If not, then I’m sure you’ll be pleased to hear that we have yet more news about the upcoming Samsung device, which is expected to get announced early next month.
Earlier today we heard that Vodafone had intentions of stocking the successor to the Galaxy SII, and now not long after Vodafone made its announcement, O2 UK has tweeted that it will also be stocking the much talked about Android device too.
O2 UK said in their tweet: ‘Excited about the next Samsung Galaxy? So are we – that’s why it’ll be coming to O2′.
So, that’s two major UK networks that have publicly announced that they will be stocking the new Galaxy device – I have to say, so far their PR team have done a good job in ensuring that no additional information about the device is made available, as I’m sure both networks will have access to prototype versions of the handset anyway.
Also, it’s good news for other UK network customers, the announcement means that Vodafone won’t have exclusivity over the handset, although I suppose it’s possible that maybe one of the major networks will have an exclusive availability of a colour variant of the Galaxy S3 – I’m not too bothered about that though. Another reason as to why it’s good news that no network has exclusivity is that there will most probably be more competitive pricing between networks for the new smartphone – which is always a bonus for us consumers.
I have to say, I’m getting slightly impatient now, roll on May 3rd when we can finally see what all the fuss is about!
