Vodafone has updated its stock and is now making the Samsung Galaxy Nexus available after the gadget was plagued by a bug just days after its launch. The produce of Google/Samsung’s latest pairing is up for grabs now in store and online.
The problem with the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset affected the volume and meant users couldn’t make calls without the volume fading out. This bug was dubbed SAV-Ghost – or Self-Aware Volume Ghost. Google delivered a fix for the problem yesterday making it simple for early-owners to update the Galaxy Nexus’ system and use their gadget without further trouble.
Vodafone customers can now enjoy 1.2GHz dual-core processing power and eye-watering 4.65” Super AMOLED HD display with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus available now on contracts beginning at £41-per-month for 24-months. This package includes 900 call-time minutes, unlimited texts, 700MB of data usage and that ghost-busting update comes pre-installed.
If you’re not buying from Vodafone’s new stock and your Galacy Nexus is still troubled by the pesky bug here’s what you need to do:
Enter Settings menu then select About Phone > System Updates > Check Now
This will make the handset automatically find the relevant update, simply select and install.
