Samsung Galaxy Note III Unpacked Event Set for September 4th?

After the existence of the Samsung Galaxy Note III was confirmed recently in a leak on the company’s Kazakhstan website, a number of sources now suggest that the hefty handset is running out of places to hide and will finally be surfacing at a Samsung Unpacked event on September 4th.

Invites are expected to be sent in August for the Samsung Galaxy Note III launch, which will be held 2 days before the annual IFA Berlin event where tech aficionados and industry insiders will be in attendance. The show will offer the latest and greatest in computing and consumer electronics, entertainment systems and home appliances from some of the world’s leading brands such as LG, Sony and Intel.

The current Note II was announced on 29th of August 2012

The Samsung Galaxy Note III is currently shrouded in secrecy but what we do suspect is that this season’s stylus-friendly phablet will feature the latest version of Android version Jelly Bean with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI and will cast a sizeable shadow over earlier generations with a larger 5.99-inch Full HD 1080p touchscreen display. We should also see a RAM upgrade to 3GB from the Note II’s 2GB RAM and a faster processor. Like the Galaxy S4, we should hope that the air gesturing featuring is also introduced to the Note range when the new handset is officially announced.

If the news is true and the Samsung Galaxy Note III is set to be officially unpacked on September 4th we should see it in action at the IFA Berlin which runs from September 6th to the 11th. We’ll keep you updated on all developments!
