Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and Zoom specs leaked before June announcement

We know that Samsung will be taking to the stage in 3 weeks’ time to reveal a new selection of Android powered Galaxy smartphones and Windows Phone 8 powered ATIV devices, but it’s still unclear exactly which devices the company will be debuting.

With so many potential handsets leaked and rumoured in the last few months, including the S4 Mini, a new range of Galaxy Tabs, the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4 Active, some leaked specifications are now pointing to a few handsets launching on the 20th of June.

For starters, earlier this week Samsung quietly announced the Galaxy S4 Mini so we now know this will not be at the June 20th event.

Android Community has revealed that two of the handsets landing at the June event will be the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and the Galaxy S4 Zoom, both of which are variants of the Galaxy S4 flagship smartphone.

The Galaxy Active will reportedly feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display running off a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor with an Adreno 320 GPU plus 2GB RAM. Internally it will have a 16GB internal storage which can be expanded via the micro SD slot and a 2600 mAh battery.

The Galaxy S4 Zoom however will be a handset focusing on its mega 16 megapixel rear camera that will come with a 10x optical zoom to boot. The phone will sport a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a 960 x 540 resolution, dual-core 1.6GHz processor, a modest 8GB of internal storage plus micro SD slot and a 1900 mAh battery.

ATIV-wise there still isn’t much leaked with regards to Samsung’s Windows OS running handsets but we expect to see some hardware that matched the Galaxy S4 and runs Microsoft’s OS.

June 20th is the date set for the reveals so we will see more then!
