You may remember that back in August we told you the news that Samsung had announced a new rugged Android smartphone which they called the Galaxy Xcover.
Well, since that announcement back in August, we haven’t really heard that much about the handset. However, we are now getting news that the Galaxy Xcover will be making its debut to the UK in December.
The Samsung Galaxy Xcover will no doubt suit users who are after a durable Android smartphone that can take a knock or two. And just to back up its rugged appearance, the Galaxy Xcover has been certified by the iP7 standard; which means that it is protected from dust, water resistant up to one meter, as well as being able to withstand drops and knocks.
Just as a reminder of the Galaxy Xcovers specification, the device features Android Gingerbread and will sport a 3.65-inch touch screen display (which also happens to be scratch resistant), a 3.2MP camera, and also a LED flashlight.
If this sounds like the phone for you, you’ll be pleased to know that UK phone retailer Handtec are starting to take pre-orders on the smartphone with a SIM free price of £225.
