Samsung Galaxy Note owners in the U.K have begun receiving their notifications that newest Android OS, version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is now available for the hefty handset.
The Olympian sized Galaxy Note crosses the line between smartphone and tablet and is a recent addition to Samsung’s family of popular gadgets. It boasts 5.3” touchscreen display packing a 1280×800 HD pixel resolution unlike any other on an Android device, meaning the Galaxy Note resembles a tiny slate. Android 2.3 Gingerbread comes pre-loaded and can now be upgraded to new standard ICS thanks to a generous 1.4GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and 1GB of onboard RAM allows tools such as the Personal Digital Assistant using the S-Pen and high definition apps such as launch partner Angry Birds Space to run smoothly and efficiently. This is complimented by a pair of cameras also included in this giant Galaxy gadget – an 8 megapixel rear-shooter and a 2 megapixel VGA for video calling.
This update also means owners of the Galaxy Note can now get hands on with the specially created Premium Suite app pack which means digital content on the gadget can be personalised using the S-Pen for a range of uses including grids and tables as well as notes and sketching with features such as S Note and My Story.
