Samsung Updates Twitter to Mark Arrival The Next Galaxy

  • by

A week after the press invites went out for the Samsung Unpacked event on March the 1st the company’s Twitter presence for its mobile division has received a newly uniformed revamp, all in black and heralding “The Next Galaxy”.

Even the name on the @SamsungMobile Twitter has been changed to TheNextGalaxy and #TheNextGalaxy hashtag has come into play, clearly confirming what we all expected – The Samsung Galaxy S6 is launching a day before this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Samsung has also posted a video which shows nothing of the actual anticipated hardware but teases great vision and a unique view as words appear over a dynamic graphic sequence. The video exits through a tunnel of light and a symbol appears resembling the familiar camera lens shape of previous Samsung Galaxy S models.

This no doubt is a nod to the hefty 20-megapixel camera the handset is to be supplied with and that unique view mentioned may be in reference to the strong possibility we’ll be seeing a variant Samsung Galaxy S6 launched alongside the standard model which will feature a double curved-edge touchscreen, appropriately named the Galaxy S6 Edge.

The S6 recently broke benchmarking records with its octa-core Exynos 7420 processor running the show and other features we’re looking forward to with The Next Galaxy include latest Android 5.0.2, 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display and a beefy 3GB of RAM.

It’s almost time, folks. The Next Galaxy is not so far, far away..
