The long-awaited third season of Sherlock may have come and gone in one exciting blink of an eye but unlike the BBC have kindly helped ease the lengthy wait before season four by launching The Network – an app based experience which allows iOS device users to immerse themselves in the world of the popular telly consulting detective.
Sherlock: The Network is available now on the iTunes App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running iOS 6 (optimised for iPhone 5) and fans can team up with Holmes and Watson to crack a total of ten all new cases as part of the sociopathic sleuth’s ‘homeless network’ as seen in the show.
Stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are on hand to provide hints and advise through video content recorded exclusively for the app which will get you to the scene of the crime in time help and solve puzzles to crack the case. You’ll also receive notifications and ‘texts’ from the detective and his associate. The quicker you crack them the better the chance of dominating a global leader board.
However, if you’re familiar with Sherlock you’ll know he won’t always be in the best of manner, so be warned when asking for assistance!
