Gamers who tucked away their consoles in favour of the more sensible choice of a PC get an extra life on November 4th as SEGA has listed PC as a platform for the upcoming revival title Sonic Generations – with pre-orders already going live!
In a celebration of 20 Years of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Generations comes racing in as a clash of new and old, with the option to play a traditional 90s-style 2D side-scrolling adventure with refreshed HD graphics – or play as the 21st century ‘3D’ Sonic in the same adventure only from the third-person perspective. Familiar settings, vintage levels and baddies reappear and the game-play is a total throwback to the classic action we enjoyed on those 16-bit cartridges ‘back in the day’.
Already set for a console releases on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, a desktop appearance of the SEGA mascot was uncertain. The iconic gaming hero, who’s now kick-starting his third decade, will appear on PC and digital games retailers such as direct2drive.co.uk are offering Sonic Generations for £19.99 with pre-orders being taken now for the game’s release on November 4th.
