Sony Ericsson invests £4M in ad campaign for new XPERIA range

Sony Ericsson is to roll out its biggest ad campaign in two years as the company launches its new XPERIA line-up.

The budget is believed to be in the region of £4M and will be focusing on the three new XPERIA smartphones, the XPERIA arc, XPERIA neo and also the much talked about XPERIA play, the ads themselves will run on TV, outdoor billboards, in the press as well as online.

Reports would also suggest that the bulk of the budget will be focused on the XPERIA play, which has certainly had a lot of attention recently in the gadget blogging world.

A 10-day Facebook campaign will precede the launch of the new smartphones, where the first 10 XPERIA play handsets will be given away by Sony Ericsson commercial partners, these include, O2, Tesco, Three, Capital FM, Xfm, Carphone Warehouse, Phones4U and also Gamespot.
