If you’re a fan of Sony Ericsson, you’ll probably have heard about the company’s recent announcement of the XPERIA Arc S; an update to the Arc, not in apperance but in performance.
Well, it would seem that mobile retailer Clove have announced that they will start selling the new XPERIA Arc S on the 26th of September, SIM Free, at a price of £349.99. Clove also go on to say that it will also be available in two colours – Pure White and Midnight Blue.
As mentioned, the XPERIA Arc S looks identical to the XPERIA Arc, but it’s what’s on the inside that makes the difference. The new XPERIA Arc S now features an updated 1.4Ghz CPU, making it 25% faster than the original XPERIA Arc.
The other differences come from the software, the XPERIA Arc S now has 3D sweep panoramic technology, which features on some Sony Cameras; simply take your picture while sweeping the phone across the scene to automatically create and stich a panoramic picture, which can also be converted to 3D using the relevant software.
Other improvements over the original XPERIA Arc include up to 25% faster camera start up time, 20% faster web page rendering and also improved call and standby battery performance as well. These improvements are down to the faster, more efficient 1.4GHz processor.
The XPERIA Arc S is up for pre-order now, if you want to get your hands on one ASAP.
