Sony has unveiled a specially designed camera harness which will go on sale in Japan and will give dog owners a pets-eye perspective of the world!
Roving Rovers can be equipped with the AKA-DM1 harness which attaches snuggly to the dog’s body around the front legs with a pair of straps, and a mounted bracket on top suits shooters in Sony’s digital high definition Action Cam range. This allows covert canines to record their adventures and report back to their masters and the AKA-DM1 will suit dogs with a waistline measuring 50 to 80 centimetres around – so Tinkerbell need not apply!
The Sony AKA-DM1 will cost around £35 (roughly translated from the native Yen) and the Action Cam series, designed specifically as a robust helmet cam to capture physical and extreme activities, ranges from £150 to £250 dependant on the model and retailer.
This is an amusing gimmick worth its five minutes, but we wouldn’t think anyone would want to buy the harness who doesn’t already own the camera (and, of course, a compatible pet!)
