Oh dear, it would seem that things are still not running smoothly for Sony. Now if you’re a PS3 fan, I’m sure you’ve been keeping a key eye on current developments, and will no doubt have either heard or read Sony’s emergency press event in Japan a week ago.
If so, I’m sure you’ll remember Sony setting itself a deadline to get the PlayStation network back up and running – well, it would seem that Sony have said that it needs to focus on security even more, and therefore the company thinks that it’s unlikely to meet it’s deadline to restore PSN.
Sony has said that it wants to thoroughly test the security of the network to guarantee that should the network be subject to even more attacks, no more personal data will get into the wrong hands.
Since the whole fiasco began, Sony shares have fell nearly 7% since the PSN network was attacked, and now with this further setback, it’s more important than ever that Sony gets this issues resolved ASAP.
