Internet Explorer is going the way of the Dodo. The internet browser is already being phased out in favor of Microsoft’s brand new browser, Spartan. The new and improved web viewing app is to feature the ability to integrate with other browsers on Windows 10 for PCs, but what about phones?
Well, Spartan has made it onto the newest and latest build of Windows 10 for mobiles. the update arrived earlier this moth, and includes compatibility for a larger range of phones as well as the browser.

The Spartan version found on phones is as similar as the PC version as Microsoft can possibly make it. Microsoft’s Spartan project manage Kyle Pflug said that “Project Spartan for phones has the same new rendering engine available on the desktop, with the same support for the latest standards and the same strong focus on interoperability with the modern Web.” in a blog post which we’ve linked below.
For a while some of the more advanced Lumia mobiles lacked the capacity for the preview, but now some have been added. The new phones include:

Spartan is hitting these mobiles alongside the older Internet Explorer 11. At the moment Spartan is being tested in the new preview builds of Windows 10, so having the old browser to hand might make up for some of the test version’s shortcomings, or just be useful in emergencies.

Therefore you should be able to enjoy the same advanced rendering and other clever coding tricks spartan offers – all of which make the modern web load much faster and potentially decrease the strain on hardware. one could imagine that once the hardware usage decreases battery life may increase – we can only hope.
