The technology section of every online news aggregater has been filled from top to bottom with pieces on the late, great Steve Jobs this week. While there’s obviously a moral blurriness in trying to draw page hits on the back of incredibly sad news, we feel you’d like to know that a movie based on Steve Jobs’ life may be in the works.
Sony Pictures has acquired the rights to the authorised biography of the Apple co-founder and ex-CEO, from author Walter Isaacson. Isaacson was allowed unprecedented access to Jobs to write the book, and has taken a $3 million pay-cheque from Sony.
The movie studio was the one behind the phenomenally successful Facebook/Mark Zuckerberg biopic The Social Network, so if the right director, screenwriter and cast are picked we can assume that Jobs’ life will be given the silver-screen treatment it deserves.
