TomTom has announced a new range of budget friendly satellite navigation devices for the more price conscious drivers, named the TomTom Start 20 and the Start 25.
The two devices are entry level models with features such as advanced lane guidance with 3D representations, IQ routes, parking assistance, spoken street names, frequent destinations option and a built in orientation sensor which means that when you use the flip screen mount to put the device on either your windscreen or your dashboard, the display can show portrait or landscape.
The TomTom Start units are aimed at first-time buyers with the difference between the two devices being the screen size – the Start 20 features a 4.3-inch display and the Start 25 has a larger 5-inch screen.
One of the newest features used in both devices is that the units come with an extra 2 million kilometres of new roads mapped into the software, twice as many Points of Interest (with extra details like phone numbers and opening hours) and new updated speed camera warnings.
The TomTom Start 20 is priced at £129.99 for the UK and ROI maps and £149.99 for the European version and the TomTom Start 25 (with full Europe maps) is priced at £169.99.
Both are available now.
