Just a quick burst of mobile OS news to kick off your Monday morning. According to reports, Microsoft will be launching its ‘Mango’ update to Windows Phone 7 this Thursday, the 15th of September.
The update, which will technically be known as Windows Phone 7.5, will bring a raft of new features to handsets already supporting Microsoft’s slick operating system. Chief among these is the ability to multitask, an ability that will open up the availability of apps that run in the background such as Spotify.
7.5 will also integrate Twitter into users’ ‘People’ field just as Facebook currently is, as well as unifying messages from texts to Facebook chats into one place. If it does indeed drop this week, be sure to check your phone’s software update searcher, found in ‘settings’.
