Windows Phone Mango RTM leaks into the wild

For any Windows Phone 7 user out there that simply cannot wait another second to get their hands on the WP7 Mango update for Twitter integration and multitasking goodness, I have some news that may appeal to you – it would seem that somehow,  the final RTM version of the Mango update has managed to leak early online.

The final version, known as build number 7720 internally is available to download unofficially now over at XDA developers. The prerequisites is that you will need to have the post-NoDo update called 7392, although users of beta versions 7661 and 7712 should also be able to take advantage of the RTM version.

So, if you have a few hours to spare, and fancy giving it a go, you can head on over to the XDA Developers site where they have put together detailed instructions on how to apply the update as well as the files needed.

It would seem that currently, the update has been confirmed to work with the HD7, Mozart, Trophy, Focus, Arrive, Venue Pro and also the Optimus 7.

Please remember though this is an unofficial method of updating your WP7 smartphone, so if you do decide to delve in, you do so at your own risk.

If you happen to have some spare time, and you fancy giving the update a go, let us know how it went and what you think of the outcome by leaving your comments below, or you can tweet us @Gadget_Helpline instead.
