Tesco launches “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” for Xbox 360 as a pre-order at midnight – and for those in need of a little game of catch-up, the UK’s top supermarket is kindly offering to bundle in the original “Modern Warfare” title for just £10.
The ads hit the newspapers today to say that if you beat the queues and book your copy of “MW3” from 12am for the pre-release price of £44.50 you’ll also be given the option to grab “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” for a tenner – which is a £5 saving from the individual retail price on the 2007 title which remains a gamer’s fave.
The next installment “Modern Warfare 3” from publisher Activision doesn’t release until November – six months away – but already available for pre-order through online department store Amazon, the title has seen pre-sales soaring and Tesco will be the first to bid for gamer’s affections before other online uber-grocers such as Asda throw their tasty deals onto the table.
Tesco is over with gamers after numerous price-drops and pre-order deals including knocking down the cost of Nintendo DS by over £25 from leading high street retailers.
“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” will be released worldwide on November 8th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
