In the market for a laptop? If Apple’s top-end MacBook Pros have caught your eye, we’d suggest holding off for a while, as rumour’s now spreading across the web that Apple is about to refresh the Pro line.
Sadly, the changes are unlikely to be spectacular. Low stocks point to an alteration in the higher end 13, 15 and 17-inch MacBook Pros, but the actual upgrade seems to only be a change to a slightly faster processor and an upgrade to the latest Bluetooth standard, as found in the MacBook Air.
Those expecting the now three year-old unibody design to change, then, might be a bit disappointed. Going forwards, Apple will have to find a way of trimming size and bulk from the MacBook Pro without it cutting into MacBook Air sales – something that’ll need to be done carefully.
