Anticipated fantasy game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim launched ten days ago, leaving Facebook deserted all bar a few status updates from pals reporting how awesome the game is! Developer Bethesda has certainly got Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers engrossed in the fantastically immersive role-playing and dragon-slaying saga – but as with all things of such epic scale there are always going to be a few minor (or major) complaints.
These complaints stem from some troublesome bugs in the Skyrim gameplay including poor texturing, loss of HD quality and an overall performance drop when the game is installed on an Xbox 360 hard drive. This means gamers have had to save game constantly to ensure progress in Skyrim is not lost.
The issue also makes some copies of The Elder Scrolls sequel impossible to play on PS3 due to the large file sizes. And with this in mind Bethesda will be quick to act, issuing crucial updates shortly after Thanksgiving in the States – in British, that’s no more than two weeks time! Bethesda’s Vice President of PR and Marketing, Pete Hines, tweeted the news that a fix for both consoles “have been submitted” and will come before November 28th – with PC update appearing a short time after.
Bethesda’s Pete Hines also states that no characters or saved game data will be lost through the update.
