Apple could be prepping for what might prove to be a very busy release year for the company – and a very expensive one for fans of its products. Foxconn, the main Chinese manufacturer for gadgets such as the iPhone and iPad tablet is said to be adding a new $210-million production plant and 35,800 new workers to its dedicated Apple work force.
At 40,000 square metres this would make the Huai’an City, China plant smaller than Foxconn’s other sites, one of which we were recently shown the workings of in a video revealing the production of the newest iPad (third gen).
Tim Cook recently popped over to check out working conditions in Apple production plants across the country and expects an annual turn out of up to $1.1 billion dollar’s worth fruitful gadgetry which could see a potential Apple product roll-out for 2012 could see the tech market bombarded with an Apple HDTV, a 7.85-inch iPad Mini, a scaled-down iPhone Nano maybe turning up at some point this year and almost certainly the iPhone 5 arriving around October – this likely to have been confirmed by last week’s news that Apple has now registered a web domain for iPhone5.com.
