The creator of The Amazing Spider-Man – Stan “The Man” Lee – will appear as a playable character in the upcoming game release in support of the latest Marvel movie reboot of the same name.
Before you think “That’s pretty awesome! – But what can the 89 year old writer, editor, publisher, producer, actor and reality TV show host really do to prevent crime in New York City??” – the Stan Lee in The Amazing Spider-Man video game is not actually going to move as wearily as his aged real-life counterpart. Instead The Man will feature as one of the skins which can be used to play with over the Spider-Man character. Yes – We’ll finally get to see Stan Lee enjoying the products of his own imagination, including web-spinning and swinging across city skylines battling baddies including the movies main foe – the Lizard!
For geek reference, we imagine this sight to be as surprising as when Yoda decided to show off his lightning fast Jedi moves in the Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, and with a number of comic book fans here at the Gadget Helpline we are pretty excited to see Stan in action!
The Amazing Spider-Man for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 was teased at the Spike Video Game Awards with a released scheduled for June 26th. The movie will hit cinemas on July 3rd.
