Since its release nine months ago Android Froyo has gained a huge amount of distribution, in fact a report claims that the 2.2 version of the Google platform claims a massive 61.3% of all Android usage worldwide.
This report takes into consideration any Google enabled gadget with access to the worldwide market and shows Froyo is still the users favourite despite follow-up releases emerging, including Gingerbread and Honeycomb which trail with a disappointing 1% and 0.2% respectively. That’s actually less distribution than the original version!
A very poor show when you think that these are supposed to be improvements to the software. Perhaps time will tell a different story, but for now Froyo is definitely dominating the distribution when it comes to Android!
