What’s this nifty little gadget I see before me? I hear you ask. It looks like a calculator, but it’s got a mouse-style scroll wheel. That’s because it is a mouse…and a calculator!
The Canon X Mark 1 Mouse (pictured above) is both a Bluetooth laser mouse and 10-digit calculator all in one. The calculator part comprises of the standard number and function physical keys that you would find on an average office calculator, but sends signals from each button press to your PC or Mac using Bluetooth.
It works perfectly in a ton of apps including Microsoft Excel and Calculator, replacing the need for the number pad on your desktop keyboard. In fact, if you’ve got a Mac with the newer aluminium keyboards, you don’t get a number pad so this mouse would be ideal to use alongside.
Laser tracking ensures accurate and fast scrolling while Bluetooth connectivity means no cables to clutter up your desk. The mouse part comprises of left and right clicks and the trusty scroll wheel and button.
Unfortunately the X Mark 1 Mouse Lite is going on sale in the U.S. only for a while, selling for $60 in August. Both black and white models will be available.
