From this Thursday (23rd of August) Nintendo 3DS owners can once again take to the streets of Gotham and join Batman and Robin as well as a whole host of joining DC favourites in a free demo for LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes!
The game was released back in June as the sequel to 2010’s LEGO Batman: The Videogame but if you’re still haven’t been sold on the light-hearted spin on the Dark Knight saga Nintendo is giving you a chance to see what the fuss is about – at absolutely no charge! And as the title suggests this time the Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder are united with other super-powered mates including Justice League members Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Aquaman. The rogue’s gallery of infamous villains also returns with the Penquin, Two-Face, Bane and of course – the Joker. These familiar bat foes are joined by the likes of Lex Luthor, General Zod and Brainiac – providing challenges and conflicts which cross the entire DC universe!
And how could we forget that every character, all the weapons and every piece of scenery are entirely made up bricks and blocks based on classic kid’s toy LEGO!
The LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes demo is available on Thursday through the Nintendo eShop for the 3DS handheld and is joined this week by full and purchasable versions of classic Nintendo titles Donkey Kong Jr. and NES Open Tournament when the store gets updated!
Last week’s eShop update delivered the full version of New Super Mario Bros. 2 as a digital download on the same day as its release on the high street. Read about the side-scrolling sequel in the Gadget Helpline article – Here.
