I’m sure you ‘ll remember that HTC recently announced a new entry-level Android smartphone, called the Explorer, a reasonably priced handset which is heading to various UK networks – the only thing we didn’t know, is when its due to go on sale – that was until now.
According to the folk over at online mobile retailer Clove, they are expecting the HTC Explorer to go on sale on the 31st of October with a SIM free retail price of £192. Originally the company has expected the device to arrive in late November, but for whatever reason, that date has been brought forward, which is good news if you’ve been waiting to get your hands on one.
If you’re not familiar with the specs of the Explorer, the smartphone will be running Android 2.3.5 and will have a 3.2-inch HVGA screen with 480×320 pixels. It will also feature Sense UI version 3.5. Other specifications on the Explorer include a 3MP camera with auto-focus, as well as the usual connectivity methods like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0.
