HTC Vigor: First “Beats by Dre” handset appears on German online store (and gets pulled)

HTC Vigor – the first mobile from the Taiwanese communications co. to integrate “Beats by Dre” audio technology has popped up on a German online store. Only to be pulled – but not before website HTCInside.de could grab a screenshot and some specs on the hip-hopping handset.

According to the unnamed German retail site the high-spec Vigor comes rolling in on a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor (specs to rival its new cousin – the HTC Ruby). Running Android 2.3.4 with HTC’s own “Sense” operating software, the smartphone also features a 4.3” high definition display including 1280x720p resolution to compliment the audio wares from the D.R.E on H.T.C.

There’s nothing visually exciting about the handset, one of the roll out of 8 new sets coming before the end of 2011. It looks unexcitingly like a run-of-the-mill HTC mobile. Not that we were expecting Dre’s face on it or anything, but it would have been cool to feature something of a unique look to celebrate the incorporation of the Beats audio gear.

From the snapshot of the website’s HTC Vigor listing we can guess that it’ll be coming along on the Telfort network when it hits the western European country. We’d expect Vodafone to get involved once the Vigor comes the UK’s way.
