Magazine advert reveals Nokia Lumia 928 and its PureView camera

A new flagship Nokia Lumia Windows Phone is coming to the US – this much we already know – but now its specifics have been revealed early courtesy of a double page spread in Vanity Fair.

The Nokia Lumia 928 will be a variant of the Lumia 920 that we know and love here in the UK, and will be exclusive to US mobile network Verizon Wireless. The handset has leaked in various pictures online recently, and now we have the real deal in print form.

Just like its similar stablemate, the Lumia 920, the 928 will boast an impressive camera performance all round. “Even in low light” boasts the ad, of course alluding to the PureView technology found within the phone which produces impressive low-light photographs.

The Lumia 928 will feature Nokia’s PureView technology, Optical Image Stabilisation and Carl Zeiss optics for the rear camera, although no details on the front camera have surfaced yet. If the Lumia 920 is anything to go by though, it’ll be a wide-angle 1.3 megapixel sensor capable of shooting 720p HD video.

Interestingly, the advert in the magazine gives a Nokia web address for the phone. Head there and you’ll get the same image from the advert but nothing else. We’re expecting to meet this new Lumia at Nokia’s May 14th event.
