Over the last week and a bit, we’ve seen a few screenshots/videos of Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system featuring the Metro UI as seen on WP7 devices – and now, some more leaked screenshots, this time showing the latest version of Microsoft Office with Metro UI.
The screenshot above is taken from the Milestone 2 version of Office 15, and as you’ll be able to see from the screenshot, the new Metro design features quite heavily within Outlook. Personally, I actually quite like this look as it doesn’t seem to be as cluttered as previous versions. It also makes sense for Microsoft to adopt the Metro UI and make their product appearance more consistent. The Metro UI already exists on other Microsoft products, not only WP7, but also Media Center and obviously Zune as well, so you’d better like it as it seems to be here to stay.
According to reports, Microsoft Office 15 will be available sometime in 2012.
